We have created a great spelling activity for young superhero phonics learners which can be used to support spelling, sounding out and blending. Laminate the superhero sound cards and place some on a fence or a wall outside. Pick a picture card and sound out and spell that word, using a water pistol squirt water on the letter sounds which make up that word in order, say them as they are spelt out. Learning really can be fun. This is a great interactive phonics game which not only helps with sounding out, blending and spelling, it also helps with motor skills, and visual perception, aiming water at a target.
