Year 1 Phonics

Year 1 Phonics is a method for teaching reading and writing throughout the Early Years and continuing into Year 1 and Year 2 (KS1). The aim of phonics being to provide children with the skills to decode written words by sounding out and blending. This is taught in 6 phases.
