This is a great activity to support children in becoming more aware of their environment and the beautiful things around them. It supports children in understanding how to look after their local area and gives different opportunities to make the first small steps in doing this. This topic is cross curricular, linking to literacy, science, maths and geography in Reception and Year 1.
