Year 1 Everyday Materials here you will find a range of activities to support KS1 learners in their recognition of different materials. Using key vocabulary to enhance learning, materials can be grouped, sorted and compared according to their different properties. Language such as smooth, bumpy, hard, soft, shiny can be introduced to broaden a child's vocabulary.
