Some spellings are tricky to write and remember. It is a good idea to look at shapes of words and gain a visual of how the words look in order to spell them correctly. Sometimes seeing the word written in different ways allows us to decide which spelling looks right. Children can check their own work once these have been completed, by using a dictionary to find the words to see if they were correct in their answers.
