This is a great activity to really assess reading for meaning. It is aimed at children in KS1 encouraging them to find and fetch information, make inferences and find particular types of vocabulary. An animated powerpoint of the story is also included to give a deeper understanding of what is happening. This story is inspired by the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk, with a few twists.
