Place Value Biggest Or Smallest Numbers

Place Value can be a tricky maths skill to learn. This activity encourages children to look carefully at numbers and decide which is the biggest or smallest number from a choice of two. There is also a further activity which extends this challenge where children have to think of a number which is somewhere between several pairs of numbers.
