This is a really good way to help children with Autism or ADHD to manage their feelings and emotions.   Using the thermometer children can place the arrow to show how they are currently feeling.  If they feel they are rising towards yellow, children can then take a calm down card to an adult and use self-calming techniques.  Several calm down techniques are shown, but every child is different, they may have different calming strategies which can also be used.
