This is a great assessment tool which can be used for the child, their peers and an adult. Children can read through the instructions of what is required in their writing for a non-chronological report, they can then tick off each section they managed to use within their writing, on of their peers can then do a peer assessment to see if they agree. The teacher can then tick to say they have completed and give feedback of what has been done well and how they can improve on this for next time.
