Here is a great activity which uses shapes of objects/animals in a silouette form. Children can write in the word of the shadow/silouette if writing is possible. However, words are also included for learners to cut and stick the words in, encouraging children to look at the pictures, read the words and then match the word to the picture. Great for children in KS1 and children with Special Educational Needs to assess visual recognition of objects when not in colour format.
